Attacking head on the issue of financial literacy among teens, Treasurer James L. McIntire joined Sounders FC Andrew Weber, Visa Inc. and members of Jump$tart to showcase Financial Soccer at Foster Sr. High School. The event is part of a statewide effort to improve teens' money management skills statewide with Visa's free, FIFA World Cup™ branded educational video game.

Visa Introduces New Financial Football Workbook in South Africa
Visa South Africa released new instructional material in a 180-page booklet complementing the innovative Financial Football (known as Financial Soccer in the U.S.) video game, which tests learners' knowledge of the information in a fun, interactive way. "The intention is that the game will provide the added motivation to study the content," said Visa South Africa Country Manager Mandy Lamb.

Miami Students Learn How to Score Financial Goals at CHCI Event Playing Financial Soccer
Visa showcased Financial Soccer, a FIFA World Cup™ branded educational video game, to 350 Miami area students at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's (CHCI) Ready to Lead event on May 14. The teens from the Miami area were taking part in CHCI's Ready to Lead Program gathered to hear about the importance of wise money management.

Financial Soccer Works Teaching Kids Money Lessons Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine Editor Janet Bodnar recently played a lively game of Financial Soccer with Chicago area students after serving as a moderator at the 2011 Financial Literacy and Education Summit. Visa developed the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ branded educational video game designed to teach money. Bodnar participated as a "lifeline" expert for two battling student teams from Illinois' Hinsdale South High School. Read more.

Financial Soccer Continues International Rollout in Belarus Belarus is the latest of over 30 countries to launch Financial Soccer, Visa's FIFA World Cup™ branded educational video game. The game, known as Financial Football outside of the U.S., was unveiled at Belarus State University.
