Visa welcomed its Innovative Educator Sponsorship recipients who attended the Jump$tart National Educator Conference in Washington D.C. from November 3–5. Visa hosted a luncheon for the six educators along with Jump$tart board members and sponsored a Financial Football game at a tailgate party for 300 educators at the conference. Former NFL Redskins running back and Super Bowl champ Brian Mitchell joined Visa to coach educators playing a lively game of Financial Football. Visa also distributed free financial literacy resources at the conference’s exhibit hall for educators teaching personal finance to students in grades K-12.
Visa’s nominated Innovative Educators, Andrew Borgialli, Lothar Konietzko, Sharon Paul, Jennifer Jordan, Laurie Gardner and Talitha Oliveri were joined by Hugh Norton, Visa’s Head of U.S. Financial Education, and Laura Levine, President and CEO of the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy.
