Juan Carlos Jimenez holds a B.A. in Public Administration from El Colegio de México (COLMEX), an M.A. in Political Economy from the University of Essex, and an M.A. in Administration from Columbia University.
In Mexico's National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), Mr. Jimenez served as advisor and later as Deputy Director for Prudential Regulation. Afterwards, he worked as Deputy Director of Financial Analysis and Chief Technical Officer at the Mexican Banking Association (ABM), where he was later appointed Director-General.
He has served as Governor of the Latin American Bank Federation (FELABAN). He has been part of the editorial committee of the Mexican newspaper El Economista, as well as member of the Board of Mexico's Commission for Retirement Savings (CONSAR). He has also been a professor at El Colegio de México, the Centro de Investigacion y Docencia Economicas (CIDE), and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
