Global Best Practices in Financial Education

This year's Financial Literacy and Education Summit convened international leaders in finance to discuss the most pressing economic challenges facing people everywhere and how best to approach those challenges. The Summit panelists discussed how various regions of the world approach financial education and how, in light of the global crisis, we can apply best practices in ensuring that consumers have the necessary tools and resources to make wise financial decisions.

This comprehensive site is an online clearinghouse for personal finance educational tools for parents, teachers and students of all ages. Visa's PracticalMoneySkills.com site provides consumers free access to tools including online personal finance courses, curriculum for high schools and colleges, online games and calculators, brochures, CD-ROMs, pamphlets and magazines.

What's My Score consists of a wide variety of resources to help students learn the basics of financial management, including: budgeting, saving, paying for college, buying a car, getting a first job, protecting their identity and critically evaluating different loans. There are also comprehensive materials available to assist college professors and administrators in teaching students about these vital financial life skills. All of the resources on "What's My Score" are being provided to students and colleges at no cost.

Choose Preferences from the Safari menu and click Security.
Click Always for Accept Cookies
Close the Security window to save and apply the changes.

INTERNET EXPLORER 6.0:

Start Internet Explorer.
Choose Tools > Internet Options.
Click the Privacy tab to display the Privacy panel.
Use the vertical slide bar to adjust your privacy settings to no higher than Medium High.
Click the Advanced button.
Verify that the Override Automatic Cookie Handling option is not checked.
Click OK.
Click OK again.
Close all open Internet Explorer browsers.
Reopen the browser and return to the Financial Summit.

Mozilla Firefox

Go to the "Tools" menu.
Select "Options".
Select the "Privacy" icon in the left panel.
Check the box corresponding to "Allow sites to set cookies".
Click "OK" to save changes.

Netscape 7.1/Mozilla 5.0

Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
Click on the arrow next to "Privacy & Security" in the scrolling window to expand.
Under "Privacy & Security", select "Cookies."
Select "Enable all cookies".
Click "OK".
