Noorul Ainur Mohd. Nur, Ph.D. is the Secretary General of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, Malaysia. She holds a Political Science doctorate from the Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY), USA; a Masters degree in Social Science from the University of Birmingham, UK; and a BA (Hons.) from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. Noorul Ainur was also the Goldman Sachs Visiting Research Fellow, University of Oxford, UK (2002). She is in the Malaysian Civil Service as an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer, and has been posted among others as a Senior Economic Advisor to the World Bank, Washington D.C.; Head of the World Trade Organization Unit, Ministry of Finance, Malaysia; and Senior Project Coordinator of the Economics Centre, National Institute of Public Administration, Malaysia.
